Morocco and France sealed, here Friday, four partnership agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the realm of industry. According to Map news agency the agreements were sealed on the sidelines of a work meeting between Moroccan Minster of Industry, trade and new technologies, Ahmed Réda Chami and visiting French State Secretary for Industry and Consumer affairs, Luc Chatel.
The first agreement, signed by Chami and chairman of the Sofia Antipolis Foundation, Pierre Lafitte, touches on "clusters" and "competitiveness poles" and provides for assisting Morocco in the field of research and innovation. The second agreement, a memorandum of understanding (MoU), was signed by the French Industrial and Mechanical Technical Center (CETIM), and three Moroccan establishments, namely the Center for Mechanic, Metallic, Electrical and Electronic Industries (CERIMME), the Technical Center for Vehicle Equipment Manufacturers (CETIEV) and the Technical Center for Plastics and Rubber processing (CTPC).
