With a project in a Niger village for women's health, especially expectant mothers, Tunisia has received this year's United Nations award for "South-South" cooperation, as reported by the Misna agency. The award was given to Nebiha Gueddana, president of the Tunisian National Office for the Family and Population (ONFP). Called "Kollo" from the village in Niger where it was set up, the project is based on collaboration between Tunis, Niamey and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA). The awards ceremony was held in New York on Saturday, as part of the "United Nations World Day for South-South Cooperation".
